When they think about their day at 13, people smile. Why? Why can the shore make us happy? Why do we sit at our desks and sometimes find ourselves longing for a great day filled with sand between our feet and the sounds of seagulls and waves? Going to the shore is great for us, as it happens! Seems our bodies know this and which might be the reason we believe that inner longing for surf, sand, and sun.
Don’t believe it? Get ready because here are just two reasons going to the 21, to pay a visit to Gulf Shores, Orange Beach or Fort Morgan is great for you and can help you live a little bit healthier life.
SALT WATER IS GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN AND BODY
Saltwater, such as that found in The Gulf of Mexico, is excellent for your skin. It is full of minerals such as sodium, chloride, magnesium, and calcium. These are some of the same ingredients within our everyday vitamins our organs crave, so it stands to reason, our skin will love them! Saltwater assists with allergies. A lot of people use saline nose sprays to help with allergy symptoms. A swim at The Gulf is nicer than an allergy nasal spray any day. And did you know that swimming in colder water activates temperature receptors under your skin and that it may help release hormones like adrenaline, endorphins, and cortisol? That’s right. It’s a widely accepted premise that cold water swimming may help enhance your immune system from activating hormones and relieve aches and pains.
SAND IS A NATURAL EXFOLIANT
How much money have you spent on exfoliants for your body and feet in an effort to make your skin softer and younger looking? Why don’t you have a walk on the beach in Gulf Shores? Alabama has 32 miles of pristine white beaches and shore sand is just one of nature’s best exfoliants for your toes. For feet, it’s perfect since it’s a bit rough for skin that is tender, while we wouldn’t use on faces. It’s super easy to exfoliate your feet on the beach, also. Just go hunt for cubes. Yep! Since you treasure hunt along the sideline searching for the cubes it is possible to place, the sand is exfoliating your feet. The further you walk, the greater the exfoliation. It is like getting a natural foot spa treatment that ends with a souvenir collection that is great! Robert Soto’s Watersports
SEA BREEZE IS GOOD FOR YOUR BRAIN
Tired of brain freeze? All the weather and staying inside all winter got you down? Well, head to the shore and breathe in the salty air found at the seaside. Spending a great deal of time indoors during winter around power sources and devices may lead to a lot of ion exposure. Ions that are positive, despite their names that are optimistic, are not positive for our health at all. Instead, these small little charged nuclear particles are thought to have properties which can result in anxiety, breathing problem, irritability and an overall lack of energy. Negative ions, on the other hand, are found outside in natural air sources, such as in an Orange Beach sea breeze or after rain on Lake Shelby. Ions can undo the effects of the positive counterparts on the human body. Ions revitalize cell metabolism, might help purify the blood and enhance your immune system. According to a study in the Journal of Alternative Complementary Medicine, both negative ions also have been shown to reverse the impacts of the seasonal affective disorder, also called SAD. Breathe in the salt air, so while you’re at the shore. It is fantastic for you! grand cayman boat charter
SUNSHINE IS A GREAT SOURCE OF VITAMIN D
Did you know your body is a manufacturer of Vitamin D? That is appropriate. Your skin employs the UVB rays to produce Vitamin D when your body gets sunlight exposure. This vitamin is used throughout your body to support cardiovascular and lung health. It helps regulate insulin and helps strengthen bones and teeth. So while you’re on your little treasure hunt searching for cubes, soak up some sunlight and encourage your body it needs. Keep in mind that while our bodies need sunlight to promote the production of Vitamin D, UVA and UVB rays can lead to sunburn and can result in some cancers. When soaking up rays, sunscreen and exposure moderation are crucial factors. The CDC recommends employing a sunscreen with at least an SPF15. Studies have demonstrated that using sunscreen does not lead to a Vitamin D manufacturing deficiency, because it works hard for you and therefore doesn’t neglect to take care of your skin!
WALKING OR RUNNING ON THE BEACH GETS YOUR HEART RATE UP
Exercising anywhere is good. A lot of us, admittedly, we do not get sufficient exercise through our doctors would prefer we get our heart rates up a little each day. The truth is: we don’t do it. Since this doesn’t look like the exercise we will walk on the shore, however. It is more of a sightseeing or shell hunting adventure. As it occurs, running or walking on the shore is actually fantastic exercise! Since the beach and goes under our feet as we run or walk we really burn more calories than we do while walking or running on concrete. So exercising on the beach doesn’t seem like exercise whatsoever than we might be getting someplace 25, and it is a work out that is better. Who knew exercising could be so much fun? BEACH SOUNDS ENCOURAGE HEALTHY SLEEP PATTERNS
Have you ever noticed how easy it’s to take a rest in the middle of the afternoon on the shore? Or you wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of a fire engine or clap of thunder? Unless we think about how our mind processes noises, this does not seem to earn a lot of sense. Whether we’re awake or sleeping, our brains classify noises as threatening or non-threatening. Fire engines, thunder and those pesky alerts we set each day are observed as noises. As soon as we hear them, even when we’re in a profound sleep, we all wake up. We might not want to wake up, but we do. On the other hand, even that crackling sound sea oats create when the breeze passes through, and that soft lulling of the surf coupled with all the songs of seagulls them are interpreted as even relaxing, sounds. These noises encourage profound and sleep. The next time finds yourself drained in a long day at your office, but having a hard time falling asleep at home, try thinking about the sound of the surf and sleep may be found by you comes somewhat simpler. Even better, organize a trip down to the Alabama Gulf Coast and experience this first hand for yourself.
